MineConnect members are encouraged to participate in an upcoming online hiring event where you will have an opportunity to meet highly skilled internationally trained professionals who are interested in starting their lives in Northern Ontario. MineConnect’s member-exclusive event will be held on Friday, March 31 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am EDT. The deadline to register is Monday, March 20th.
MineConnect has partnered with ACCES Employment on the Connecting Canada Project which includes a members-only virtual employment fair for those destined for Canada and will move to a region based on employment. We are using the Brazen Platform which will enable employers to meet with prescreened international talent, through text, audio and video, for roles in Northern Ontario.
The participants in this project are enrolled in the Canadian Employment Connections and other pre-arrival newcomer programs. These programs provide sector-specific training and job search services to internationally trained professionals. Among the sectors they represent are Engineering, Finance, Sales and Marketing, HR, Supply Chain and Technology. They have already received Canadian permanent residency status and landed recently or will be arriving in Canada within the next few weeks or months.
It is free for MineConnect members to participate, and we have a few spaces left. Registration has been extended to 3 p.m on March 20th.
The Connecting Canada project, funded by IRCC and led by ACCES Employment, is connecting pre-arrival immigrants with service providers and employers in smaller urban so that they can make more informed decisions on where to start their lives in Canada. This integrated research project, with research activities led by the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation Canada, will create knowledge of how pre-arrival immigrants can best be supported in exploring areas to live outside of Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.
Please confirm your attendance via our Eventbrite registration page by 3 p.m. on Monday March 20th.
