MineConnect has released Addendum No. 1 to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the digitization and content modernization of the MineOpportunity Challenge (MOC).
The Addendum responds to clarification questions received from prospective proponents during the question period and forms part of the official RFP package. Topics addressed include project timelines, hosting requirements, privacy considerations, user roles, support expectations, gameplay requirements, scalability, content management, and other technical and operational considerations.
Several important clarifications have been provided, including confirmation that:
- International and non-Canadian vendors are eligible to submit proposals, provided they meet applicable Canadian and Ontario requirements.
- The project is intended to support a hybrid gameplay model that combines physical and digital elements, rather than creating a fully digital game experience.
- Alternative technical approaches are welcome where they improve usability, reliability, scalability, accessibility, or long-term sustainability while meeting the project’s core objectives.
- The proposal submission deadline is now July 6, 2026 – 5:00 PM EDT.
The Addendum also introduces a detailed project timeline, including a beta version targeted for mid-September 2026, a revised version by October 31, 2026, and final platform delivery by January 31, 2027.
Organizations interested in submitting a proposal are strongly encouraged to review the Addendum in full, as it contains information that may influence proposal development and project planning.
