MineConnect is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the design, development, and implementation of a digital platform to support the MineOpportunity Challenge. This innovative career exploration program introduces students to opportunities within Ontario’s mining and mining supply and services sectors.
Earlier this month, MineConnect conducted a Request for Information (RFI) process to better understand available technologies, development approaches, and vendor capabilities that could support the future digitization of the program. The RFI generated strong interest from organizations with expertise in educational technology, gamification, software development, interactive learning, and large-scale event delivery.
Insights gathered through the RFI have helped inform the requirements outlined in this RFP, which seeks a qualified development partner to create a scalable, bilingual digital platform that enhances the MineOpportunity Challenge while preserving its highly interactive, facilitator-led experience.
The MineOpportunity Challenge combines physical gameplay, hands-on industry activities, and direct interaction with mining and mining supply and services professionals. The digital platform will support a facilitator-led hybrid delivery, streamline game and content management, analytics, and long-term scalability, while maintaining the face-to-face learning experiences that are central to the program’s success.
Organizations with experience in educational technology, gamified learning platforms, event technology, software development, and interactive digital experiences are encouraged to submit a proposal. Preference may be given to active MineConnect members, provided such preference is consistent with the overall evaluation criteria, project requirements, and demonstrated qualifications.
