Sudbury’s Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement with Ramjack Technology Solutions of South Africa “to support the advancement and commercialization of innovative mining technologies,” said a CEMI news release.
The partnership is to focus on ecosystem engagement, commercialization support, technology promotion and knowledge-sharing initiatives that benefit mining stakeholders in both regions, said the release.
Under the new agreement, CEMI — which manages the Sudbury and Toronto-based Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network — will collaborate closely with Ramjack, a leading mining technology integrator with a global footprint.
Ramjack CEO Mike Jackson said he was pleased with the deal.
“We’re incredibly grateful for CEMI’s support as we continue to pioneer integrated mining technology solutions worldwide,” said Jackson.
“This partnership marks a powerful step toward bridging innovation with real-world deployment — connecting visionary Canadian breakthroughs with global mining operations ready for transformation,” he added.
