Just as important to your business as a productive workforce is a healthy workforce. That’s where NorthStream Safety & Rehab can help.
NorthStream began in 2016 as a women-owned northern Ontario business to help deliver medical services to remote areas of Ontario and beyond. The company recognized an opportunity when a client at a mine in Northern Ontario required x-ray services. The closest provider of remote x-ray services was in Alberta.
Northstream researched and purchased a portable x-ray machine, and now offers x-ray services. Weighing just 3.5 kg, Northstream’s x-ray unit provides quality images, as noted by both the radiologist and a local x-ray guru.
NorthStream can go directly to a remote site to provide these medical images, which saves employee hours and helps the client’s bottom line as well.
Donna Nordstrom, CEO of NorthStream Safety & Rehab, noted that, “As a business built in northern Ontario, we recognize that we live and work in one of the more remote areas of the province. That provides a unique set of challenges for employers and community leaders, particularly in healthcare, where services may be a thousand kilometers away. That does not have to be a concern any longer with our services.”
Northstream Safety & Rehab is continuously growing their services to meet the needs of their clients. They have a variety of medical professionals on staff, as well as consultants who can conduct medical tests – everything from drug and alcohol testing to functional abilities testing, and full medicals – all based on the requirements of the work site. Nordstrom added that, “Northstream provides 24/7 service, 365 days a year to ensure that our clients’ employees are at their best. We look forward to helping employers and community leaders work towards a safer future.”
