Company Background / History:
In 2010, Paul Fournier and Jamie Bradley started Quatro Industries. In 2019, Jamie, Paul, and Mike Richer, as well as Nelson Genereux, came up with an idea about a “one stop shop” for mining construction products, innovation, and services. The vision was to start a company with integrity, putting people above profit. With their individual skills, along with their collective mining experience, industry knowledge and business contacts, Civiltek Limited was born. Civiltek is now a national and internationally registered full-service mining contractor based out of Sudbury, Ontario, including mechanical, electrical, and industrial projects located across Canada. In this relatively short duration, the company has had projects in Sudbury, Timmins, Matachewan, White River, Dubreuilville, Sturgeon Falls, and Espanola.
Is there one project of which the company is especially proud?
One project of which Civiltek is especially proud is its design and construction of the first double wall tank in the history of paste fill. We had a problem with the size of the island vs. the size of the containment we needed for the size of the volume of productivity they wanted. So, we designed a tank that achieved both; the tank technology was always there but utilizing it in this type of environment had not been done. We developed it. We are innovative when it comes to solving problems.
What do you see as future opportunities for your company and the mining industry in northern Ontario?
There are so many future opportunities for our group of companies: in all facets, from mine development, to mill, to smelter.
Does your business support any community programs/clubs/groups?
Very much! We actively support and sponsor minor hockey teams, golf tournaments, and community events such as Valley East Days. We are currently also participating in and raising money for the Easter Seals Celebrity Classic Series hockey game.
Why did you join MineConnect?
In principle, we agree with MineConnect’s philosophy on the value of groups and the promotion of the northern Ontario mining supply and services cluster. We are hoping that MineConnect will help Civiltek Limited network and assist open opportunities in different avenues within the northern Ontario and global mining industry.
