On February 17th MineConnect hosted their Annual General Meeting. Due to Covid-19 restriction the event was held virtually on Zoom. However we look forward to connecting with you all in person on March 31st at Dynamic Earth for the social part of our AGM and the MineConnect Hall of Fame ceremony (more details to come).
Board of Directors for 2022
Those who attended the MineConnect AGM were privy to the announcement of MineConnect’s new Board for 2022. This included our two NEW directors: Bruno Lalonde, President of NSS Canada, and Ryan Matusch, Vice-President of Equipment World.
With the announcement of the new board also came the notice that the president of MineConnect, Ricky Lemieux, and the one and only, Jeff Smith, will no longer be on the MineConnect board. MineConnect would not be where it is today without both Ricky and Jeff’s involvement, and we would like to thank both for their major contributions over the years.
We are excited to announce that Todd Domney will take over the reigns as MineConnect’s President, and Andre Dumais will step into the role as Vice-President. Tracie Marsh has also been appointed as MineConnect’s new treasurer.
Hall of Fame Announcement
It was announced that Norbert Hoffman will be the 2021 Inductee into MineConnect’s Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at our in person event at Dynamic Earth on March 31st. We can’t wait to see you all there!
Year in Review 2021
Marla Tremblay shared an extensive PowerPoint report outlining what MineConnect has been working on over the last year, and what members can look forward to in 2022. Much was covered, including: 2021 events, marketing material, MineConnect video series, MineConnect in the news, facts and figures, and a sneak peak of MineConnect’s website overhaul coming soon!
