The federal government is providing $265,000 to support the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS), currently exhibiting at CIM Connect in Vancouver, B.C.
Twenty-seven mining service and supply companies from Northern Ontario are participating in the Showcase at CIM Connect, which includes three days of learning opportunities, networking, professional development courses, and a tradeshow for people in the mining and mineral exploration industry.
The pavilion gives participating Northern Ontario companies an opportunity to exhibit their equipment, services, technology, and expertise to delegates from around the world, make new connections, and potentially new customers, within the global mining industry.
“The Northern Ontario Mining Showcase has been a real beacon of success, and we are proud to be bringing that success back to CIM Connect once again,” said Jeff Laferriere, mayor of the City of Temiskaming Shores, which organizes the event.
