As you are undoubtedly aware, on February 1, 2025, the United States (U.S.) announced that it is imposing tariffs of 25% on imported Canadian goods, and a tariff of 10% on energy imports from Canada. On February 3rd, U.S. President Trump dropped his plan to levy tariffs on Canada for at least 30 days after Prime Minister Trudeau made a series of commitments to improve border security.
