Minerals and metals are the building blocks of our economy. They make up the computers and smartphones we rely on, they form the vehicles and public transit that get us places, they are part of the buildings where we live and work, and they will be the backbone of the green technologies of the future.
The Mining Association of Canada recently published a report entitled, Canadian Mining Story: Economic Impacts and Drivers for the Global Energy Transition. The report examines the Canadian mining industry through its connections to the broader Canadian economy, through its activities, through the people of mining, the environment, and through Canada’s connections to the rest of the world.
