As we’ve done recently in North Bay and Timmins, MineConnect is working with the Goodman School of Mines to bring its Mine Opportunity Challenge to Confederation College in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, January 17th.
Over 100+ high school students representing all Thunder Bay and area school boards will be competing in a unique, and engaging game that digs deep into the world of mineral resources!! Students will work together to become the “wealthiest” team by successfully answering questions, and completing challenges and activities hosted by local companies.
To ensure that this initiative is successful, we need support and involvement from companies/organizations like yours. How can you get involved? You can set up a booth and activity, you can sponsor, and you can volunteer OR, best case scenario, you can do all of the above!
This is a great opportunity to not only engage with students thereby increasing their knowledge of mining in the region, but to showcase your business and its commitment to career development.
Please reach out to Heather by January 8th if you’d like to book booth space or sponsor this event. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with your future workforce.
