Workforce Planning for Sudbury & Manitoulin (WPSM) is conducting a survey of all area employers from all sectors/industries regarding their workforce (employee recruitment, training and retention). Your insights as an employer in the mining and/or mining supply services sector or a firm that supports the mining industry are important and we hope that you will take the time to complete this survey which should take about 15 minutes. As a Northeastern Ontario employer, your input is essential to help:

• Inform employment and training programs and services.
• Ensure that local employment and training programs and services better align with the needs of employers.
• Contribute to efforts that ensure the availability of a skilled and trained workforce throughout Northeastern Ontario communities.

The end result will be a labour market snapshot of local and regional recruitment, training and retention issues.

Completing the survey:

• The survey should take approximately 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
• Please answer all the questions as accurately and completely as possible.
• Although you might receive a request to complete the survey from multiple sources, we ask that your business/organization complete the survey only once.
• Please have the survey completed by a person who is familiar with issues associated with employee recruitment, training and retention.
• Be sure to click ‘DONE’ at the very end of the survey.

The survey has been designed to protect your identity. All answers will be treated in strict confidence and they will be compiled and published in aggregate form only.
