Gord has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He holds a degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a Professional Engineer in Ontario. Joining Vale in 2005 as a Project Manager, Gord has since held multiple leadership roles, including Maintenance Superintendent, Operations Manager, and Manager of the Smelter Complex at Copper Cliff. He has also been Head of Processing Operations, Ontario Mines, and most recently, Director of Ontario Operations. Gord is passionate about improving worker safety, increasing production rates, and driving innovation through technology.
