Ontario’s Big City Leaders Forum 2025 returns on June 9–10 at Bayview Yards in Ottawa for two days of discussion, collaboration, and site visits focused on building resilient cities and competitive economic ecosystems. Hosted in partnership with EDCO and Invest Ottawa, this forum brings together municipal leaders, urban planners, policymakers, and economic developers from across the province to address key urban challenges and opportunities.
Day 1 will focus on strategic issues including land use planning, trade relations, downtown revitalization, and innovation hubs. Attendees will hear from Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, as well as experts on panels exploring employment lands, the Kanata North Tech Park, U.S.-Canada trade, and Byward Market revitalization. The day concludes with a reception in the historic Byward Market.
Day 2 shifts into immersive learning through guided tours of Area X.O, Ottawa’s high-tech test site, and Zibi, a carbon-neutral community project. Attendees will also visit Canada’s Parliament and engage in a closing fireside chat with government representatives. This two-day event includes breakfast, lunch, and a Monday evening reception, offering unmatched insights and networking opportunities for those shaping the future of Ontario’s cities.
