MAMI is very excited to be leading and hosting CCMEC 2024Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) 2024, the largest event of its kind in central Canada on November 4th and 5th in Winnipeg, MB.
Last year over 750 sponsors, exhibitors and delegates participated and their overarching goal is to make CCMEC an international convention of choice and establish this area as a global center of excellence for exploration and mining.
The theme of this year’s convention is Exploring Connections at all different levels as the event will bring forth leaders in the industry including investment firms, exploration and mining companies, Indigenous groups, government officials, prospectors, ESG organizations, suppliers and academic institutions while showcasing innovation and advancement in the sector.
The convention is an opportunity for companies, academics, consultants and experts in the mining sector to share their knowledge and expertise with peers and industry members.
Max FineDay, the CEO of Warshield, will be the featured keynote speaker on November 4 – day one of CCMEC.
FineDay will lead a conversation that goes beyond land acknowledgements, and gets to the heart of the roadblocks and opportunities to generate wealth with Indigenous peoples. With over a decade of experience in policy, communications, and government relations, Max has represented the interests of local, regional, and national First Nations organizations and brings that expertise to CCMEC.
As a national figure in advocating for Indigenous rights and recognition, he has spearheaded initiatives aimed at navigating First Nations interests in Ottawa, building economic opportunity for nations, and fostering meaningful understanding within the business community. Max is currently serving on the Board of Wîcîwisis Academy, the Saskatchewan Indigenous Community Foundation, and the Sweetgrass First Nation School Board.
