Founded in 2019, CSL Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd. is a full-service environmental and geotechnical, multi-disciplinary engineering firm dedicated to the success of the mining and construction industries of Northern Ontario and Western Canada. With locations in Thunder Bay and Timmins, Ontario, we pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with our clients by being highly available and providing professional service and quality deliverables.
CSL provides a wide range of environmental, geotechnical, and civil engineering services using the latest equipment and technology. Our team has extensive experience completing environmental projects in multiple industries, and a wide range of experience in all phases of geotechnical and civil engineering operations.
We help our exploration/environmental clients (junior exploration and major mining companies) navigate the early stages of project development and approval processes. We scale our project work with your project’s growth and timing, particularly regarding resource development. Certain aspects of the baseline & permitting processes can carry substation costs which can be phased in at an appropriate time.
We work alongside and in partnership with First Nations communities to foster inclusion throughout the project lifecycle. Our boots-on-the-ground style of support often fills critical needs/gaps expressed by Exploration Geologists and Project Managers.
We have completed significant baseline studies associated with Exploration Projects (Goldshore Resources Inc.) and Major Producers (Impala Canada Ltd.), and both companies will attest to our responsiveness, expertise and deliverables.
In early 2024, in partnership with Villeneuve Engineering Services, CSL opened a location in the City of Timmins. This partnership enhances engineering and environmental services in Northeastern Ontario. Our two firms are fully outfitted to service civil & environmental contractors, mining companies through all phases of development, real estate developers, and other large-scale civil projects.
