Northern Ontario Angels & Link North organized this conference to spotlight numerous startup businesses in the region, providing them with the platform to pitch their stories to investors and industry representatives. To add a touch of insight, we’re featuring keynote speaker Alicia Woods, CEO of Covergalls!
What’s in Store for You?
Venture Timmins is set to feature startups pitching to showcase their innovations, offering networking opportunities. This aligns with our ongoing commitment to building connections across the north and fostering valuable ecosystem relationships. There’s a wealth of untapped, promising innovators in the north, and it’s high time we shine a spotlight on them, including right here in the Timmins region!
Keynote Speaker:
Alicia Woods presents “Inspiring Positive Change”
Inspired by her female mining experience, Covergalls creator and founder Alicia Woods caught herself wondering why, with so many women joining unconventional careers, did they wear garments designed for a male’s body type? The reason was simple – they didn’t have a choice. There were no coveralls for women available on the market. This is where the idea for Covergalls Workwear was born. With unique features like rear trap door for easier bathroom breaks and tailored fit, there finally – is garment designed by women and for women working in the industrial sector! Join us to hear her keynote ‘Inspiring Positive Change’!

You’ve probably heard of Dragon’s Den (cough cough we had Dragon’s Den Advisor Dr. Sean Wise as our featured keynote in April 2023). On a similar note, Venture Timmins is featuring local startups to pitch their business ideas to possible investors in the audience!
