The Talent Development – Internship Program provides support for Small-and-Medium-Enterprises to hire recent post-secondary school graduates for Critical Technology projects that grow their business. It offers a flexible hiring solution to meet your business needs. You can hire one new graduate for up to 8 months or two graduates for 4 months each, depending on your project requirements.
This program not only supports your business growth but also contributes to the development of the future workforce. New hires will gain valuable experience and mentorship, preparing them to tackle critical technology projects.

Eligibility
- Open to Ontario-based for-profit Small- and-Medium-Enterprises less than 500 staff.
- Recent graduates from an undergraduate or master’s program from an accredited college/university (within three years of graduation).
- 2 unit maximum per company (each 4-month internship is 1 unit)
- Intern must be involved with at least 1 named Critical Technology in 1 key sector
- Maximum $20k funding per company
- Matching of funds 1:1 by SME
