A Sudbury firm is branching out to offer headhunting services with a new Toronto-based company.
TPS Group of Companies has launched Platinum Executive Search, which works on behalf of clients to recruit candidates for high-level executive roles in industries including engineering, manufacturing, legal, tech, mining, and health care.
According to CEO Kevin Pattison, the new company is an extension of services TPS has offered from its Sudbury-area office for more than two decades.
“We started our first staffing company based out of Lively, Ont., in 2001 and it focuses mainly on skilled labourers, confined space teams and AZ/ DZ drivers,” Pattison said in a March 22 news release.
“Recently, however, we noticed a gap and need for a high-level headhunting firm to provide companies with executives, managers, and skilled professionals, so we started that firm.”
Donna Bethel, an experienced headhunter with a background in recruiting and corporate immigration law, has been tapped to head up the new company.
In her work, Bethel said, she’s been motivated by a “desire to help people,” and Platinum Executive Search helps fulfill that goal.
