Cambrian College is inviting MineConnect members to support the next generation of skilled workers by offering co-op placements to students in key trades, technology, and engineering programs. Co-op experiences are paid, typically 12–16 weeks, and provide employers with early access to emerging talent while helping students gain real-world industry experience.
Several programs require mandatory co-op placements, including:
- Chemical Engineering Technology (CHLP)
- Civil Engineering Technician (CVTN) / Technology (CVTY)
- Heavy Equipment Technician (HDTN)
- Mining Engineering Technology (MNTY)
- Environmental Control (EMPD)
- Workplace Safety and Prevention (WPSG)
By bringing on a co-op student, employers gain extra support on active projects, the opportunity to mentor future professionals, and the chance to identify potential long-term hires before they graduate.
If your organization is interested in hosting a co-op student or would like more information, please contact Stephanie Leon-Clarke.
