On June 19, MineConnect partnered with the Ontario Centre for Innovation Network for an unforgettable evening on the Toronto Harbour—an event that combined connection, collaboration, and forward-thinking dialogue.
Guests aboard the MineConnect + OCI Harbour Roadshow Cruise were treated to sweeping waterfront views, lively networking, and a thought-provoking innovation panel that dove deep into the challenges and opportunities facing Ontario’s mining innovation ecosystem.
The panel discussion, titled “Beyond the Rockface: Engineering, IP, Capital and Talent Development in Modern Mining Innovation,” featured four dynamic voices:

- Ehsan Mirdamadi, Archangel Network of Funds
- Sierra Mercer, Ontario Centre of Innovation
Together, they explored what it takes to move bold ideas from concept to execution—including the crucial roles of engineering expertise, intellectual property, investment capital, and workforce development.
With music, refreshments, and a relaxed yet purposeful atmosphere, the cruise created a unique setting for members of Ontario’s mining supply and services sector to engage with thought leaders and strengthen relationships across the value chain.
