The Government of Ontario, in collaboration with Mining Suppliers Trade Association Canada, and the Embassy of Canada in Kazakhstan, is organizing a Mining Export Business Mission to Mining & Metals Central Asia (MMCA) 2026 from September 16 to 18, 2026.
MMCA is Central Asia’s flagship mining event, convening mining companies, EPCs, contractors, equipment buyers, regulators, and investors across the full mining value chain, including exploration, mineral processing, automation, mine safety, environmental solutions, and critical minerals. The event attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals from Kazakhstan and across Central Asia, making it the most effective platform to access this strategically important mining market. Kazakhstan is a globally significant mining jurisdiction, ranking among the world’s top producers of uranium, copper, zinc, lead, chromite, and iron ore, with mining contributing more than 23% of national GDP. The country is actively modernizing its mining sector, investing in digitalization, automation, safety, ESG performance, and downstream processing, and is seeking advanced international technologies and expertise.
Participation in the Ontario Mining Mission to MMCA 2026 represents a strong opportunity for Ontario mining supply and services companies offering solutions in:
- Mining equipment and machinery
- Exploration and geological technologies
- Mineral processing and materials handling
- Automation, digital mining, and AI solutions
- Mine safety systems and environmental technologies
- Pumps, valves, hydraulics, and industrial components
- Critical minerals processing and clean mining technologies
