Natural Resources Canada’s Green Industrial Facilities Manufacturing Program (GIFMP) provides financial assistance to support the implementation of energy efficiency and energy management solutions designed to maximize energy performance, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and increase competitiveness for industry in Canada.
GIFMP offers cost-shared financial support for a holistic and comprehensive suite of energy efficiency measures to be completed by March 2027 and is being delivered through two separate tracks. Track one is for provinces and utilities. Track two is for industry.
Track 2: Industrial Facility
For all industrial sectors and facility sizes, with a focus on filling gaps in reach and coverage across regions, sectors and activities.
The Industrial Facility track provides direct-to-industry support to help implement energy efficiency and energy management solutions within their respective facilities. Proposals can involve a single facility or multiple facilities. The Industrial Facility track offers cost-shared financial assistance of up to 50% of eligible implementation costs to a maximum of $10 million per proposal; the minimum contribution is $40,000 per proposal.
The 2023 call for proposals for Track 2 is now open and will close by July 31, 2023. You may download the proposal package in English or French from the link below.
