Blue Sky Net, in partnership with the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, has launched the Northern Tech Accelerator Program (NTAP), offering financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Northern Ontario. This non-repayable grant program aims to help businesses implement innovative technology solutions that drive growth, increase sales, and improve efficiency.
Details:

Up to 50% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $10,000.

For-profit businesses with at least $30,000 in sales from the last fiscal year, located in Northern Ontario (including districts such as Greater Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Timiskaming, and more).

Eligible Projects:

Website Development: Including e-commerce, CRM integrations, and responsive design.

Software Development & Integration: Custom software solutions, mobile app development, and business software integrations.

Hardware Integration: Systems for point of sale, inventory management, and fleet management.

Cybersecurity: Risk assessments, firewall installations, and employee training.

Internal Broadband Networking: Improvements to connectivity within the business.

Ineligible Costs:

Graphic design, website hosting fees, and ongoing maintenance costs.

HST charges and costs incurred before project approval.
How to Apply:

Apply directly to Blue Sky Net (BSN) or the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre (NOIC).

After consultation, gather at least two quotes from approved vendors.

Submit the quotes for review and wait for approval to proceed with the project.
