The newly opened Newmont Porcupine Hollinger Open Pit Lookout located off of Brunette Road in Timmins, Ontario, is open annually from June 1 to September 30, offering spectacular city views and an active open-pit mining operation.
JLR’s integrated multidisciplinary team worked to bring the lookout to life, from the concept design to services provided during construction. Our key team members on this undertaking were: Georges Quirion, OAA, LEED AP, Derek Koziol, P.Eng., Darren McGee, C. Tech., Alicia Young, C.E.T., and Leah Shorrock, P.Eng. BGC Engineering Inc. provided geotechnical engineering services for the project.
