The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) is excited to announce the launch of two complementary small and medium enterprise (SME) growth programs.
The Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) and the Building Blueprints for AI Adoption (BBAA) are designed to support innovation across Algoma-Manitoulin and Northwestern Ontario region. These programs offer non-repayable grants, expert advisory services, tailored training and mentorship. Together, these supports empower small and medium-sized enterprises to commercialize new products, services, processes or adopt responsible AI solutions, and strengthen the region’s competitive edge in today’s digital economy.
“The IAP initiative allows us to continue funding innovative ideas and within emerging companies; with BBAA we can help ensure companies have the skills and resources to deploy AI responsibly,” said Taylor Trecroce, director, business development and services, SSMIC. “Together, these programs remove initial financial and knowledge barriers so local innovators can compete and win on the global stage.”
