Mining innovators will gather in Sudbury this fall for the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network conference.
Launched in 2022 and funded with $40 million from the federal Strategic Innovation Fund, MICA is a pan-Canadian network comprising mining technology companies, innovators, research institutions, and other organizations all working to advance the adoption of new mining solutions.
This year’s conference will be the fifth annual, although previous iterations were held in Toronto.
“The 2026 MICA Annual Conference and Showcase addresses the commercialization bottleneck by bringing the ecosystem together to discuss immediate opportunities for innovators and practical deployment challenges operators must solve right now,” reads a conference synopsis.
Day one of the conference will feature keynote presentations, operator case studies and commercialization sessions. Day two will feature applied discussions, showcase moments, and collaborative planning.
On day three, participants will have opportunities for travel, side meetings, and additional optional activities.
Conference planning, including details on the registration process, is underway and more information is expected to be available soon.
