FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Las Vegas, Nevada – September 24, 2024 – MineConnect Supply and Services Association, a leading mining industry innovator, is thrilled to announce its ambitious expansion plans, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s growth journey. This strategic expansion is set to enhance MineConnect’s market presence and bolster its commitment to delivering exceptional programs and opportunities for its members.
The expansion will involve broadening MineConnect’s membership base to include supply and service companies located throughout Ontario.
“We are thrilled to embark on this expansion and broaden our impact,” said MineConnect Executive Director, Marla Tremblay. “Our goal has always been to provide exceptional support, resources, and networking opportunities for professionals in the mining industry. By extending our reach, we aim to create even more value for our members and enhance the overall strength of the industry across the province.”
The expansion is also receiving enthusiastic support from Ontario’s Minister of Mines, George Pirie. “MineConnect has a long history of representing and promoting the mining supply and service sector in Northern Ontario,” said Minister Pirie. “Their growth will broaden membership to include supply and service companies located throughout the province, fostering greater innovation and collaboration to keep the mining industry strong and reinforcing that Ontario is one of the best places in the world to invest and do business.”
The expansion was also welcomed by The Hon. Stephen Crawford, Associate Minister of Mines for the Province of Ontario: “I want to congratulate MineConnect for this historic expansion that aligns with our government‘s vision for the future of mining in this province. As we build a more integrated economy by connecting minerals in the north with the manufacturing sectors in the south, we need all of Team Ontario to work together. There are many companies in the south that support the mining sector, including in my own community of Oakville, that will help us achieve our shared vision. Our government looks forward to supporting the mining sector with our partners like MineConnect to create prosperity for the entire province for generations to come.”
The expansion will enable MineConnect to increase domestic and international partnership opportunities for the organization and its members thereby positioning the association for sustained success and creating significant value for stakeholders. MineConnect has a proven track record of collaboration and program delivery, and this expansion is poised to further solidify its leadership in the mining sector. The organization will continue to prioritize Northern Ontario’s MSS sector as it grows.
