According to SIMSA, more than 350 companies across the province provide goods and services to the industrial, mining and energy sectors. It’s a $17-billion business, employing more than 35,000 people in Saskatchewan.
Among the presentations was the SMA Procurement Panel, moderated by Kari Kreuckl Lamont, director of procurement, contracts and materials management with Cameco. Taking the stage for the panel discussion were Jamie Aamodt, senior manager of procurement operations for Nutrien; Andrea Glasofer, deputy program director with BHP; and Jason Rathgaber, senior manager of procurement operations with The Mosaic Company.
