Community BBQ - In Support of Emergency Preparedness Week

In support of Emergency Preparedness Week, Sling-Choker is bringing the community together for a fun and meaningful afternoon filled with great food, hands-on learning, and local connection.

This family-friendly event is a chance to meet local emergency response teams, explore equipment and demonstrations, and pick up practical safety tips that can make all the difference when it matters most.

Attendees can enjoy a classic BBQ, connect with neighbours, and spend some time getting to know the people who help keep the community safe. Whether attending for the food, the learning, or the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.

Community members are encouraged to bring their friends and family for a relaxed day of good vibes, great conversations, and community spirit.
