MineConnect Executive Director Marla Tremblay will attend CTIA Outlook 2026, taking place October 6–7 at the Gatineau Congress Centre in Gatineau, Quebec.
The event brings together Canada’s textile, apparel and footwear industry with government buyers, operational users and research centres to discuss procurement priorities, emerging needs and Canadian manufacturing capabilities. The program includes perspectives from the Department of National Defence, municipalities and users of personal protective equipment, alongside an Industry Showcase of Canadian-made products and solutions. Tremblay will represent MineConnect as a panelist in the Buy Canada Policy and Coordinated Procurement Strategies panel on October 7th.
For MineConnect members, the event may be particularly relevant to:
- Manufacturers and suppliers of PPE, protective workwear and safety footwear interested in understanding government purchasing needs and exploring markets beyond mining.
- Mining operators, contractors and companies responsible for purchasing worker safety products looking to discover Canadian suppliers and solutions suited to demanding operating environments.
- Companies developing technical textiles, protective materials or wearable technologies seeking industry connections and potential research or product development partnerships.
Some visitor spaces remain available, with attendance by application and approval only. Approved visitors may attend free of charge. MineConnect membership does not automatically grant admission, and exhibiting is reserved for CTIA members.
