This Tuesday, August 30th, 10 a.m. at the NORCAT Underground Centre, Strathcone Mine Road, in Levack, you are invited to learn details of a new project involving Cambrian R&D and NSS Canada, which will make mining safer for workers who are underground.
NSS has partnered with Cambrian R&D to develop a harness that would allow an Augmented Reality (AR) headset to fit on a standard miner’s underground hardhat. The AR headset allows miners to operate machinery at a greater distance away from the mining face, potentially reducing the risk of injury.
We invite you to learn more about this project and see a demonstration. It should take you between 40 minutes to arrive on site, if you are leaving from the city’s core.
