Cambrian College is making history. It is launching the first three- year degree program ever offered at an Ontario college.
Cambrian College is introducing a new three-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program, to meet the growing demand for business professionals.
“This is completely new territory for Ontario’s colleges as we prepare students for the business world of today and tomorrow,” says Dr. Paula Gouveia, Vice-President Academic at Cambrian College. “Employers are demanding more flexibility in terms of the skills and knowledge graduates are bringing to the table, and we’re responding with this first-ever, three- year degree program. Our new BBA enables our students to be more competitive on a global scale and opens doors to further education, nationally and internationally.”
The three-year BBA degree program provides students with a blend of foundational knowledge of various functional areas of business, critical- thinking and decision-making skills, and on-the-job learning.
“Our new BBA gives students the opportunity to earn a general business degree in just three years,” says Parvinder Arora, Dean of Cambrian’s School of Business. “This new three-year program will combine degree-level theory with real-world learning experiences, including a mandatory paid internship and experiential learning through business cases, simulations and workshops to produce well-rounded graduates who can work in a variety of business and non-profit organizations.”
Students enrolled in the three-year BBA also have the possibility of taking one semester abroad with a partner university in Austria, Finland or Ireland.
Graduates of the three-year BBA who want to pursue a specialization can also transfer seamlessly into Cambrian’s four-year Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, where they can earn a specialization in either Accounting, Data Analytics or Digital Marketing.
Similarly, graduates with a college diploma in General Business or Accounting may be able to earn Cambrian’s new three-year BBA in as little as one year.
