Yesterday was a great day for two MineConnect members: Cambrian College R&D and BESTECH. First off, BESTECH contributed $50,000 to Cambrian’s new BEV Lab. They proceeded to have a great discussion on the present and future of industrial BEV technology, and topped off the day with the official unveiling of the BESTECH Electronics Lab in Cambrian R&D’s Centre for Smart Mining.
In a LinkedIn post, BESTECH said:
“Giving back to our community is a longstanding value at BESTECH. We often refer to ourselves as the Partner of Choice to our clients, but at the end of the day, we strive to be the Partner of Choice to everyone we serve.”
When a team member presented us with the opportunity to support Cambrian College, the Centre for Smart Mining, and the building of their BEV lab, it was an easy yes.
BESTECH was founded on the idea of bringing mining innovation to the North, and we have remained steadfast in this mission for the past 28 years. We work with community partners like Cambrian College because they share our vision of the City of Greater Sudbury as a hub for economic excellence and industry innovation. This lab is an example of that shared vision.
It is an inevitable truth; the mining industry is shifting toward using battery-electric vehicles. By investing in this lab, BESTECH is not only investing in our community, our industry, and our environment; we are supporting the development of a generation of industry experts and thought leaders right here at Cambrian College.
This donation is an extension of BESTECH’s commitment to investing in the communities we serve, including supporting our Indigenous partners as we advocate for clean, safe, and sustainable industry growth.
We are thrilled to continue to partner with Cambrian College and contribute to the future of mining innovation through the development of this incredible facility.”
