The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) recognises the importance of immigration in addressing the workforce needs of employers in the mining industry in the province. Representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) will deliver a presentation that will provide information on how your organisation can leverage the OINP to attract and retain foreign workers with the skills and experience to contribute to your workforce.

Bios of Presenters
Nathalie Wuta, Team Lead: Nathalie has served in a number of capacities with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills development since joining the program in 2014. She has served as a Senior Processing Officer and a Senior Business Analyst, leading file assessments and rendering decisions on applications from individual applicants and foreign entrepreneurs, she has also supported provincial and international outreach initiatives. In May 2023, she moved into the role of Team Lead of the Immigration Promotion and Employer Outreach Unit. The unit is positioned to directly assist Ontario employers by delivering tailored services to help them navigate the immigration system.
Meaghan Edwards, Program Advisor: Meaghan has had the privilege of serving in many roles across the Ontario Government and broader public sector, including areas like long-term care, Indigenous affairs, and transportation safety, where she has significantly contributed to policy and program changes at the provincial and national level. Meaghan also has experience in advocacy, having recently worked with a not-for-profit association advancing senior care across Ontario. In her current role as a Program Advisor with the Immigration Promotion and Employer Outreach Unit, Meaghan develops key reports, program recommendations, and informational resources to aid in promoting immigration domestically and abroad. Away from work, Meaghan is in her second year of her PhD program in Sociology at the University of Waterloo.
