The federal government is granting three businesses in Sudbury, Ont., with around $1 million each in tariff relief.
Jennmar Canada and Soluroc Sudbury are each receiving $1 million in federal grants from the Regional Tariff Response Initiative, while Lopes Limited is getting $975,000. The funds are provided through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor).
“This money is to help those companies. They’ve developed good, viable plans on how to pivot and address those challenges,” said Sudbury Liberal MP Viviane Lapointe.
“And so FedNor today is providing investments to them so that they can carry through with those plans.”
All three companies manufacture parts and equipment for the mining industry.
