Accessibility For Ontarians With Disabilities Act

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, or AODA, aims to remove and prevents barriers for people with disabilities.

The AODA requires all public sector organizations to meet Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.0 AA Compliance by January 1, 2021. In order to meet these standards, we have implemented a variety of features including:

1. Photos have been applied with alternative (alt) text. Alt text allows users with vision loss and those using a screen reader to hear a description of a photo.
2. The website is designed and programmed to function across all devices including mobile, tablet, and desktop. The website can be used across all browsers and with assistive technologies like screen readers.
