Vancouver-based HighGold Mining has announced the results of an early 2020 drilling program which produced some encouraging assay results at its properties east of Timmins.

Twelve drill holes for 2,524 metres of diamond drilling were completed earlier this year, and the company says its intercepted high-grade gold in the area.

The company suspended its drilling operations in the Timmins area in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We had planned about 5,000 metres of drilling, and about half of that was to be done on the Golden Perimeter property, and we got that completed,” said Naomi Nemeth, investor relations with HighGold. “So we did our whole planned program on Golden Perimeter.

“Then we got a couple of holes into the Munro-Croesus part of the program for this year, and that’s when we got suspended.”
