aspects of high performance mining. Germany is well regarded as a world leader in Mining 4.0
and Sweden has invested heavily in smart mine.
Since 2012, the global mining and exploration sector continues to experience a slowdown that
is resulting in mine closures and the extension or suspension of major mining projects across
Canada. It is expected that over the next couple of years, firms will need to further diversify
demand beyond local and regional markets in order to survive and prosper.
The Institute for Advanced Mining Technologies of RWTH Aachen University in
cooperation with DMT GmbH und Co. KG and the VDMA Mining Association are your hosts.
