MineOpportunity Thunder Bay–  Sponsorship Opportunities Open

Thursday, April 23, 2026, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Hosted by Confederation College, and the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission

MineConnect, in partnership with Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne’s Goodman School of Mines (GSM), is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support upcoming MineOpportunity Games in:

📍 Thunder Bay – April 23

MineOpportunity is a dynamic, hands-on challenge where high school students work in teams to explore careers in mining, technology, engineering, geoscience, environmental stewardship, and more. Your role? Help guide student teams, support activities, keep the energy high, and ensure students have a memorable experience.
No prior experience is required, just a willingness to encourage and engage youth. Orientation and lunch will be provided.
Company Booth Participation:
We also welcome companies interested in hosting a booth. This includes providing five short career-related questions and leading a simple hands-on activity to showcase your business and career pathways.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire local youth while supporting workforce development in Northern Ontario.
