Testmark Laboratories is a Canadian-owned, privately-held company that began laboratory operations in 1998. Testmark currently has licensed and accredited facilities in four locations across Ontario: Garson (within the City of Greater Sudbury), Timmins, Mississauga, and Kirkland Lake.
The major emphasis at Testmark is both routine and non-routine testing in the areas of inorganics, organics, microbiology and toxicology. The company principal, Dr. Mark Charbonneau, has managed private laboratories in Canada and the United States and a military laboratory in Ukraine.
Testmark has been fortunate to be recognized by our peers through several business awards including the Bell Canada Business Excellence Award for Startup which was awarded to the company in 2000. The following year, Testmark’s President, Dr. Charbonneau was the 2001 recipient of the F.W. Karasek Award given annually through the University of Waterloo for excellence in environmental analytical chemistry. Testmark was also the recipient of the 2005 Northern Ontario Business Award for Company of the Year.
All of Testmark’s facilities are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 through the Canadian Association of Laboratory Accreditation (CALA) and licensed by the MOECC under the Safe Drinking Water Act. We are proud members of the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL). Dr. Charbonneau is the past chair of the Environmental Lab Division of the CCIL, a past board member of CALA and also sits on the Technical Advisory Panel established by the MOECC.
